The Wedge mouthpiece tops were the original Wedge design and are an excellent choice for someone adjusting to the  Wedge rim. If you are very happy playing a conventional mouthpiece offered in the Standard Brand line you should consider ordering from that category. However, if your mouthpiece is not offered in that line, or if you want to make some adjustments to the characteristics of your current mouthpiece the original Wedge line provides many options for fine tuning.
